Nature Congress '23: Sustainable food systems for more biodiversity - from the field to the plate

How can we overcome the tension between biodiversity and food production and engage in cross-sectoral, constructive conversations? How do we succeed in making the transition to food systems that protect and promote biodiversity, together with all stakeholders?

Naturkongress '23: Nachhaltige Ernährungssysteme für mehr Biodiversität – vom Acker bis zum Teller

Our food systems are not only the main cause of the decline in biodiversity, but also depend significantly on this diversity themselves. However, sustainable use of natural resources, especially in production agriculture, can create biodiversity. With diverse, resilient, and nature-friendly food systems, we can much better address the interrelated challenges of biodiversity loss, climate change, and food security.

The Nature Congress 2023 focuses on synergies between biodiversity conservation and enhancement and the transformation towards sustainable food systems - from the field to the plate.

We cordially invite you to join the discussion together with other experts and interested parties from science, politics, administration, civil society and business.

The event will take place at the Eventfabrik Bern in both German and French.

More information can be found here.

Would you and your organization like to present a concrete idea for transforming food systems to help protect and promote biodiversity? Have you already started a project but could benefit from a broader network to implement it even better? Are you interested in leading a workshop, giving a short presentation or running a booth on your project? Then submit your idea here by May 12.
