Researcher position in social science research on sustainability/religion (50-70 %)
The Centre for Religion, Economy and Politics at the University of Basel welcomes applications for the position of postdoctoral researcher for the project “What are the greening dynamics of religion? A multi-level analysis of religious environmental engagement in Switzerland”, beginning April 1, 2024.
The project will study the environmental attitudes of members in religious communities in Switzerland. To this end, it will conduct member surveys and qualitative interviews with religious leaders. The position encompasses a 50-70% work load with a one-year contract that can be potentially extended up to two-and-a-half years. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jens Koehrsen, the project team will consist of a postdoctoral researcher, two researchers, and student research assistants. The project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
