Future Day - Focus on Sustainability

[Translate to English:] Zukunftstag

On Thursday, 13 November 2024, the Faculty of Business and Economics organized a Future Day for children and youths.

The day began with a warm welcome from Dean Alois Stutzer, who gave an overview of the WWZ’s work, followed by an input session on sustainability by Annika Sohre. The Sustainability Office (Carina Weingaertner & Marina Hasler) then provided insights into sustainable diets, and together with Frank Krysiak, the participants calculated their carbon footprint. The group also toured the WWZ, including the economic archives. Dario Thürkauf led an interactive game “From Gold Coins to Bitcoin,” and Iljana Schubert, Adam Hearn, and Philipp Dunker invited everyone to envision an alternative city of the future.

The day was a great success and provided an engaging opportunity for participants to gain insight into sustainability and the work of the WWZ.
