SDG Taskforce Virtual Roundtable Series

We are excited to invite you to the third session of the SDG Taskforce Virtual Roundtable Series, in which discussions led by each of the different working groups (WGs) explore insights from current research and future trajectories. The series explores the questions of where and how incremental change is taking place, and under what conditions these developments generate and accelerate the ongoing sustainability transformation up to 2030 and beyond. In particular, we look into promises and pitfalls of SDG implementation and identify enabling and constraining factors for accelerating current ambition levels to implement the global goals.
This session specifically explores subnational implementation of the SDGs, including translation and localisation processes, emerging governance arrangements and their impacts. Through this session we hope to support a dialogue between research and practice to unpack local SDG implementation experiences and explore critical factors for successful initiatives.
After the short interventions, all participants of the virtual roundtable are invited to ask questions, comment on the short interventions, and share their own experiences and views regarding the challenges of SDG implementation.
The third session of the Virtual Roundtable Series on Subnational Initiatives for the SDGs will take place online on Tuesday, September 5th from 8:30-9:30 (CEST), 16:30-17:30 (AEST).
